NEET coaching fees in Bengaluru: what you are really paying for

NEET coaching fees in Bengaluru vary several-fold, and a low headline figure can hide hostel, food, test and material charges. Compare the total cost of the whole programme, in writing, with its inclusions and refund policy.

"What are the fees?" is the question Bengaluru parents search for most when they look for NEET coaching, and it is the question institutes answer least. Many publish nothing. Some give a range on the phone. Very few hand you one figure, in writing, with everything it covers.

This guide explains what a NEET coaching fee in Bengaluru usually pays for, which costs sit outside it, and how to compare options fairly.

Why fees are hard to compare

Three programmes can quote three very different numbers and still cost you the same, because they include different things. A day-coaching fee may cover teaching alone. An integrated PU fee may include the PU college. A residential fee may include teaching, hostel, all meals, tests and care. Comparing headline numbers without the inclusions is comparing different products.

What a NEET coaching fee can include

Ask about each line, and get a yes or no in writing.

  • Teaching: NEET classes in physics, chemistry and biology.
  • PU teaching: for integrated programmes, the PU board syllabus as well.
  • Tests: the full test series, including full-syllabus, NEET-format papers.
  • Study material: books, worksheets, question banks.
  • Hostel: room, bedding, water, electricity, laundry.
  • Food: all meals, every day, including Sundays.
  • Care: a nurse, access to a counsellor or psychologist, a warden.
  • Mentoring: one-to-one meetings, doctor sessions, parent meetings.

Costs that often sit outside the fee

  • Admission or registration charges, separate from tuition.
  • Security or caution deposits, and when they are returned.
  • GST, where it applies.
  • Hostel extras: electricity, laundry, room upgrades.
  • Uniforms, t-shirts, ID cards.
  • Extra test series sold separately.
  • Travel, if the hostel and the coaching centre are in different places.
  • Board, NEET and counselling application fees, which are always paid to the authorities.

None of these is wrong in itself. The problem is discovering them after you have paid.

The refund question

Children change their minds, fall ill, or find a programme is not for them. Ask before you pay: if my child leaves after one month, or after six, what is refunded and within how many days? The Ministry of Education's 2024 guidelines for coaching centres recommend a pro-rata refund, including hostel and mess fees, within ten days when a student leaves mid-course. Whether or not a state has adopted them, they are a fair standard to ask for.

Instalments and fee increases

Ask whether the fee can be paid in instalments and whether it can rise during the course. A fee that rises in the second year of a two-year programme is a fee you were not told.

Discounts, scholarships and pressure

Be careful with "early-bird" discounts that expire this week, or a scholarship test that turns every applicant into a "scholarship winner". Real scholarships have published criteria. Real fees do not change because you hesitated. Our guide to scholarships for NEET residential programmes explains what to ask.

How to compare two options

Make a simple table for each option:

ItemOption AOption B
Total for the full programme
Hostel and all meals included?
Tests and material included?
Extras, with amounts
Refund if the student leaves
Travel cost per year
Who teaches the batch

Fill it in from written documents, not from phone calls. The cheapest option on the first line is often not the cheapest on the last.

How RIMA handles fees

RIMA gives one all-inclusive annual fee per programme, in writing, before registration. It covers teaching and coaching, doctor mentoring, the hostel, all sattvic meals, yoga and sport, the full test programme, and care on campus. What sits outside the fee is listed on the same page. Scholarships and concessions are considered on request.

We do not print a fee on the website as an advertisement, because a number without its inclusions misleads. We send the full structure to every family who asks. See what the fee includes and request the structure.

The real cost of a NEET year

The largest cost of a NEET year is not on any fee receipt. It is the year itself, and the student's health and confidence during it. A programme that protects sleep, removes distractions and turns every test into learning is worth comparing on those terms too.
